Preview and Write are grayed out. No category is included, or the configuration has an error: read the message at the bottom of the WBS window (hover to see them all).
All elements are incomplete. Open the Preview and look at What to fix first: it is usually a single parameter (for example the project number is empty or contains the separator, or levels have names that are not recognized → the level's Conversion table, Suggest codes).
A parameter “exists as a type/instance parameter: will not be written”. The project already has a parameter with that name but with the other binding: in Configure change the Type parameter checkbox or use another name.
The update does not install. It installs when the last Revit open on the PC is closed (even one of another version): close them all and reopen. If you still see the old version, in Account click Check for updates and send a Feedback with the log attached.
I have written to the model and want to go back. One Ctrl+Z in Revit undoes the whole write.
How do I pass the configuration to a colleague? Save as… and send them the .json file: they
open it with Open….
The PDF or the DWG is not created. A file with the same name is open (in a PDF reader or in AutoCAD): close it and try again. The final message says which file failed.
The model is read-only. BIMit shows the preview but does not write: open the model for editing (or create a local file, if it is workshared).
