Export PDF and DWG (tavole_esporta)

What it does

Exports the chosen sheets and views in the formats active in the model's settings, with Revit's own exporters (no PDF printer), like the "Export N files" button of the "Export" window (Esporta tavole):

PDF, DWG, DGN, DWF/DWFx and images from sheets and views;
NWC and IFC from 3D views only;
the sheet data table (Excel, CSV or XML), one file for all those exported.

It creates one file per sheet or view and per format, or a single PDF when the settings ask for a combined PDF, and skips rows removed from the queue. After the export BIMit records in the history what was exported and with which revision (so next time it knows which sheets are new or revised), writes the report and updates the drawing register when the settings ask for them, and saves the preset linked to the model. Your AI receives the outcome and duration of every file.

With "prova" your AI first asks only for the list of files that would be created, with the folder, without exporting or saving.

How it works

Your AI chooses what to export (sheets, views, ids, a sheet set or a saved selection, including only new or revised ones) and, if you ask, changes formats, options or folder; it often does a dry run first.
BIMit checks that at least one format is active and a folder is set, that no operation is in progress in Revit and, for NWC, that the Navisworks exporter is installed; then it exports one file at a time with Revit's exporters.
You receive the list of successful and failed files, with the reason, and the path of the report and of the drawing register; if the settings say so (or with "apri_cartella") the folder opens in File Explorer.

What changes and how to undo

The model does not change. If the settings ask to turn off temporary view states (Temporary Hide/Isolate, Reveal Hidden Elements, Reveal Constraints, Worksharing Display), they are put back as they were after each file.
The files, the report and the drawing register (when the settings ask for them) are written in the export folder. To undo, delete the files you do not need from the folder.
The preset linked to the model is saved with the history and the last export. Changes passed in "preset" and "cartella" stay saved, as in the window: to go back, ask your AI to restore the previous values or change them in the window. If the model had no preset yet, BIMit saves it as Documents\BIMit\<model>_Esporta.json and links it.
With "prova" nothing is written or saved.

Limits

Needs the AI level "Write" (the default), because it writes files on this PC.
PDF is exported from Revit 2022 on: the Revit 2021 API does not export PDF (the other formats work).
NWC needs the Navisworks exporter for Revit installed on this PC; if it is missing, BIMit says so and does not export.
Files are exported one after the other and, when your AI runs it, the export does not stop halfway: for many sheets, a dry run first is wise.
If the report or the drawing register is open in Excel it is not written, and BIMit says so.
