Sheet list

Technical name: tavole_elenco

Sheets › Export

Reads

Lists the exportable sheets and views with revision, paper size, sheet set, export state and the name the file will get.

What it does

Returns the sheets or views that BIMit can export, like the "1 · Selection" tab of the "Export" window (Esporta tavole). For each row:

  • id, sheet number and name (or view name and type) and scale;
  • the sheet's revision and revision date;
  • the paper size read from the title block, or the one set by hand for that sheet (paper, orientation, file name);
  • the sheet sets it belongs to and whether it is open in a Revit tab;
  • the state: new, revision changed or already exported, with the date, the exported revision and the files;
  • the name the file will get with the current pattern, flagged as a duplicate when another row has the same name (the second file will be saved with "(2)");
  • the values of the extra columns.

Exportable views are 3D views, plans, sections, elevations, drafting views, details, legends and renderings; NWC and IFC are exported from 3D views only. The answer also says which preset is linked to the model, the naming patterns in use and the total number of rows.

How it works

  1. Your AI asks for the list, with the filters it needs: text, sheet set, saved selection, view types, only open, only new or revised.
  2. BIMit reads the sheets and views in Revit and the export settings linked to the model (if the model has none, the ones the window would start from) and works out the state and the file names.
  3. Your AI receives the list and presents it to you, for example to choose what to export. Nothing changes in Revit.

Example requests

  • "Which sheets are new or have a changed revision since the last issue?"
  • "List the sheets in the Construction sheet set with paper size and revision."
  • "Are there sheets that would end up with the same file name?"

What changes and how to undo

Nothing: the tool only reads. Naming patterns tried with "schema_tavole" and "schema_viste" are not saved; the model and the export settings stay as they are.

Limits

  • Works at the AI level "Read".
  • At most 500 rows per answer (or the number given in "limite"); with "da" your AI reads the next pages.
  • If the sheet set or the saved selection does not exist, BIMit answers with the ones in the project.
