What it does
Opens the given sheet or view in Revit and makes it the active view, like "Open in Revit" in the "Export" window (Esporta tavole). The sheet is given by number, name or id; the view by name or id, among the exportable views. Useful to check a sheet on screen before exporting it.
How it works
- Your AI names the sheet or view to open.
- BIMit finds it in the model and makes it active in Revit; if Revit is busy, it asks Revit to open it as soon as it is free.
- You see the sheet open in the Revit window; your AI receives the name of the one opened.
Example requests
- "Open sheet A101."
- "Open the 3D view Coordination."
- "Show me the Ground Floor Plan sheet."
What changes and how to undo
The model does not change: only the active view in Revit changes. To go back, reopen the previous view from the Project Browser or the view tabs.
Limits
- Works at the AI level "Read".
- If several sheets have the same name, BIMit asks to use the number; with both "tavola" and "vista" it opens the sheet.
