What it contains
The tools your AI uses to keep the memory of your projects. A BIMit project is a project or a job you work on (for example "C24-017 Santo Stefano School"); an area is a subject that is not a project (personal, another activity). For each one BIMit keeps on your PC the record (name, code, aliases, client, working folder, linked models), the diary it writes by itself, the notes, the to-dos and the archive of emails and documents, all in the project's folder (its working folder, otherwise Documents\BIMit\Commesse\<name>), with BIMit's memory in the hidden .bimit subfolder: any conversation with your AI, in any Revit session, picks up the work without starting over.
With this package your AI creates a project, links models to it, understands which project the conversation is about, gives you the summary to continue and searches everything that was saved. Notes and diary are in the Diary package; filing emails and documents is in the Archive package.
When a model is linked to a project, BIMit records by itself in its diary the writes, the code run and the jobs completed on that model.
None of these tools changes the model: they only write the project files on your PC. They also work with Revit closed; linking the active document and knowing which models are open requires Revit to be open.
When to use it
- You start a new project and want your AI to keep its memory from day one.
- You come back to a project after a few days and want to know where you were: last summary, to-dos, decisions, latest actions on the models.
- You work on several projects: you start the message with "Santo Stefano: …" and your AI knows which one it is about and where to save the files.
- You can't remember where a document, an email or a decision ended up.
- An open model is not linked to any project and you want to link it, or say it belongs to none.
The tools
- List of projects — the projects and areas on this PC, with linked models, to-dos and models open now.
- Active project — the project the conversation is about, recognized from the first words of the message.
- Create a project — creates a project or an area with the name and code you give and links the active model.
- Link the model — links the active document, a prefix, a folder or a path to the project, and adds aliases, senders and working folder.
- Resume the work — the summary to continue a project without starting over.
- Search in the project — searches the notes, archive and diary of all projects or of one.
Good to know
These tools do not change the model.
Where it is in Revit
BIMit tab › Project panel › Project.
The package has no window of its own: you use it by asking your AI. The projects folder (usually Documents\BIMit\Commesse) is shown in Settings (Impostazioni) › Projects.
