What it does
Searches for words in all projects, or in one:
- notes: notes and to-dos;
- archive: emails, documents and notes filed, including their text;
- diary: the actions BIMit recorded on the linked models.
Every word must be there, regardless of accents and case, also inside longer words. Results come most recent first, each with the project, the source, the id, the date and the text found, including the file path. It helps you find where something was saved.
How it works
- You ask your AI where a document, an email or a decision ended up; your AI passes the words to search to BIMit.
- BIMit searches the project files on your PC, with Revit closed too.
- You see the results in your AI's answer. If there are more than those shown, the answer says how many more and how to narrow the search.
Example requests
- "Where did I save the minutes of the meeting with the fire brigade?"
- "Search 'glass parapet' in the project Santo Stefano."
- "Search the diary for when the WBS codes were written."
What changes and how to undo
Nothing: the tool only reads; it changes neither the model nor the project files.
Limits
- Returns 20 results unless you ask for a different number (at most 100).
- If nothing is found, try fewer words or all projects.
