Active project

What it does

Sets which project (or area: personal, another activity) the conversation is about. Your AI calls it when one of your messages starts with the name, code or an alias of a project ("Santo Stefano, 25001: …", "personal: …") or when you change subject.

• From the text. BIMit recognizes the project from the first words of the message. If the message does not start with a known name, it tries to recognize it from the rest of the text and activates it only when it is sure.
• By name. Activates the project given by id, name or alias.
• None. The conversation is not (or no longer) about a project.
• No arguments. Says which project is active and lists the names of the projects.

When it activates a project it returns:

• the summary to continue (short, medium or complete);
• the working folder where the files of that subject are saved;
• the rules for your AI: save the files there without creating other folders for the same subject, file emails, documents and notes with the Archive package, record decisions, deadlines and to-dos with the Diary package.

If the project has no working folder of its own, the answer says so: files go to the folder BIMit gave it among the projects (Documents\BIMit\Commesse\<name>), and a working folder can be added with Link the model: BIMit copies the project's memory there.

The project stays active for the whole conversation until you name another one. The project tools use it when you don't name one.

How it works

1. You write to your AI a message that starts with the name or code of the project; your AI passes the first words to BIMit.
2. BIMit looks for the project among those on your PC. If the name matches several projects, or the text is not enough to recognize it, it activates none and returns the candidates.
3. Your AI continues with the project's summary; if it was not clear which one, it asks you once.

What changes and how to undo

No file changes and the model does not change: the tool only remembers, for this conversation, which project is active. To change it, name another project; to have none, say the conversation is not about a project.

Limits

• It recognizes only projects that already exist. If the project is new, your AI asks you for name and code and creates it with Create a project.
• If a name or code matches several projects, it does not choose: your AI asks you which one.
