What it does
Checks a complete WBS configuration prepared by your AI, saves it to a .json file and links it to the open model: from then on the "WBS" window and the other tools of the package use it.
It returns:
- the errors (for example a parameter without a name or with characters that are not allowed, a repeated name, a rule without a code, no category included): with errors the configuration is not saved, unless that is asked for explicitly;
- the warnings, including the given categories that have no elements in this model;
- if there are no errors, the counts by category computed on the model: elements complete, to review, incomplete and without rules.
The file is saved at the given path; otherwise to the file already linked to the model; otherwise to Documents\BIMit<model>_WBS.json, never overwriting an existing file (it adds _2, _3…).
How it works
- Your AI prepares the whole configuration (usually starting from Configuration) and passes it to the tool.
- BIMit checks it against the model, saves it, links it to the model and computes the counts in Revit without writing anything into the elements.
- You get errors, warnings and counts; then you can check the elements with Code preview.
Example requests
- "Add the parameter WBS_Zona with zones A, B and C to the WBS and save the configuration."
- "Save this configuration to C:\Projects\School\WBS.json and tell me how many elements are still incomplete."
- "Remove the ceilings from the WBS and save."
What changes and how to undo
Only the configuration file (.json) changes, created or overwritten, together with the link between the model and that file in BIMit's settings. The elements of the Revit model are not touched.
Ctrl+Z in Revit does not undo saving the file: to go back, save the previous configuration again (read it first with Configuration if you want to keep it) or open another one in the "WBS" window.
Limits
- With errors nothing is saved, unless forza=true; in that case the counts are not computed.
- An already linked file is overwritten; the default path never overwrites an existing file.
Parameters
| Parameter | Meaning |

| percorso | Where to save it. Default: the file already linked, otherwise Documents\BIMit<model>_WBS.json. |
| valuta | Computes the counts on the model (default true). |
| forza | Saves even with errors (default false). |
