What it does
Saves a group of sheets and views under a name in the model's export settings: for example "Structural issue" or "Package 2". The selection can be reused in the BIMit "Export" window (Esporta tavole) under "Saved selection", in the export you ask your AI for and in scheduled exports.
If a selection with that name already exists, it is replaced; with "aggiungi" the given sheets and views are added to the ones it already has.
How it works
- Your AI gives the name and the sheets and views to include: by number, name or id, "*" for all, a Revit sheet set or another saved selection.
- BIMit finds the sheets and views in Revit and saves the selection in the export preset linked to the model.
- You get the name of the selection, how many items it contains and their list.
Example requests
- "Save all sheets of the Construction sheet set as 'Construction issue'."
- "Add sheets S-201 and S-202 to the 'Structure' selection."
- "Create a '3D views' selection with all exportable 3D views."
What changes and how to undo
Only the export settings linked to the model change (the .json preset): the selection with that name is created or updated. The Revit model is not touched.
To undo: delete the selection with Delete a selection, or save it again with its previous content.
Limits
AI level required: Write (it writes a file on this PC).
- At least one source must be given: tavole, viste, ids, set or selezione.
- If a given sheet or view does not exist, nothing is saved and the answer says which one.
- The selection remembers specific sheets and views: if you later add a sheet to the sheet set, the selection does not change by itself.
