What it does
Deletes a saved selection from the model's export settings. The sheets and views it contained stay in the model: only the named group goes away. If any scheduled export used that selection, the answer says so, because from then on it will export nothing.
How it works
- Your AI gives the name of the selection to delete.
- BIMit looks it up in the export preset linked to the model (case-insensitive), deletes it and saves the preset.
- You get the name of the deleted selection, the remaining selections and, if any, the warning about scheduled exports that used it.
Example requests
- "Delete the 'Package 1 old' selection."
- "Which saved selections are there? Delete the one with the test sheets."
What changes and how to undo
Only the export settings linked to the model change (the .json preset): the selection is removed. The Revit model is not touched.
To undo: create the selection again with Save a selection, with the same name and the same sheets and views. If a scheduled export used it, it works again once the selection exists again with the same name.
Limits
AI level required: Write (it writes a file on this PC).
- If there is no selection with that name, the answer lists the model's selections and nothing changes.
