What it does
For some sheets or views only, sets a paper size, orientation or file name different from the export settings, like right-clicking in the list of the "1 · Selection" tab of the BIMit "Export" window (Esporta tavole): "Paper size", "Orientation", "File name...". With "ripristina" they go back to the values of the settings.
Normally the paper size is read from the title block; this tool is for the exceptions.
How it works
- Your AI names the sheets or views (by number, name or id) and what to set: paper size, orientation, file name, or the reset.
- BIMit checks in Revit that they exist, validates the values and saves the per-item settings in the export preset linked to the model.
- For each item you get the paper size, orientation and file name the export will use.
Example requests
- "Export sheet A-501 on A1 landscape, whatever the title block says."
- "Name the file of sheet A-000 'Project_cover'."
- "Put sheets A-501 and A-502 back to the normal settings."
What changes and how to undo
Only the export settings linked to the model change (the .json preset): the per-item settings of the given sheets and views. The Revit model, including title blocks and sheet parameters, is not touched.
To undo: call the tool again with "ripristina" on the same items, or use "Back to the profile's values" with a right-click in the "Export" window.
