What it does
Selects in Revit the elements given by id and, unless told otherwise, zooms to them in the view. It is how your AI shows you what it found: walls missing a parameter, nearby elements, clashes and so on.
It changes only the selection: the model and files stay as they are. That is why it also works at the lowest access level (Read).
How it works
- Your AI finds the elements with another tool and passes their ids.
- BIMit ignores ids that do not exist in the model, selects the others in Revit and, with
mostraon, zooms to them in the view. - You see the elements selected in Revit; your AI receives how many were selected.
Example requests
- "Select in Revit the doors without a Mark."
- "Show me the elements you found near the column."
- "Select these elements but don't move the view."
What changes and how to undo
Only the selection in Revit changes (and, with the zoom, the view's framing). The model does not change. To clear the selection, press Esc in Revit or click an empty spot in the view.
