Correct the plan

Developer preview, coming soon. In BIMit 2.1.1 this tool (CAD → BIM package) is only in the developer's version: in the public beta it does not appear on the tab, in the pane or in "All tools", and your AI does not see it. With the developer's version, Paulo offers modelling and consulting.

What it does

Corrects the saved plan where the analysis rules were not enough, with a list of operations applied in order:

• elimina (delete) an element by id (deleting a wall also deletes the openings it carries);
• modifica (change) some fields of an element:
  • walls: x1, y1, x2, y2, spessore, tipo, delimita, altezza, base;
  • openings: codice, tipo, muro, x, y, larghezza, altezza, davanzale, ante, verso, cerniera;
  • columns: x, y, b, h, angolo, delimita;
  • rooms: nome, x, y, area_disegno, quota, finiture, numero;
  • separations: x1, y1, x2, y2;
• aggiungi (add) a wall, an opening, a column, a room or a separation;
• risolvi (resolve) an unresolved item, which leaves the list.

Coordinates and sizes are in model millimeters. A field that does not exist is refused, so that a typo never passes silently.

Each list applies to the plan's current revision: a list prepared for an older revision is refused, because someone changed the plan in the meantime. Only the saved plan changes, not the model.

How it works

1. After the check, or looking at the Drawing image, your AI prepares the corrections and calls the tool with the plan's id, the revision the plan has now and the operations.
2. BIMit applies the operations all together: if one is not valid (an id that does not exist, a wrong field, a missing required value, an opening on a wall that does not exist) it applies none and says which one and why. If they are fine, it saves the new revision and records in the plan who made the changes and when.
3. Your AI gets the new revision, the operations done and the new room check, with the rooms still to look at.

• "Add a 10 cm wall between the bathroom and the lobby and check the areas again."
• "Door A14 is a PA2, not a PA1: fix it."
• "Delete wall M37, it's a roof line, and close unresolved item 5."

What changes and how to undo

Only the plan file changes (<id>.pianta.json in %LOCALAPPDATA%\BIMit\Disegni): the model and the drawing stay as they are. Each list of operations makes a new revision and stays recorded in the plan with author, date and operations. There is no Ctrl+Z for the file: a correction is undone with another correction (for example by deleting the element you added) or by analyzing the drawing again, which however replaces all the corrections.

Limits

• The AI level "Read" is enough; you choose the level with the "Level" button on the BIMit tab.
• To add, these are required: wall x1, y1, x2, y2, spessore; opening codice, tipo, muro, x, y, larghezza; column x, y, b, h; room nome, x, y; separation x1, y1, x2, y2.
• Unresolved items are not changed: they are closed with "risolvi".
• If the drawing is no longer reachable the plan is corrected all the same, but without the new check.
