What it does
Saves the options of the "Sleeves and openings" window: the window offers them the next time, in any project, and Analyze and Create sleeves start from them. It places no sleeves and does not touch the model.
- Changes only the fields given; the others stay as they were saved. Field names and meanings are in Options (for example
clearance,shape,floors,prefix). - With
predefiniteit starts from the defaults instead of the saved options, and applies the fields given on top. - The shape can also be written in Italian (circolare or tondo, rettangolare, come l'impianto); the standard sizes as a list of numbers or as text ("50 75 100").
- Checks the values as the window does: at least one MEP category and one category of elements to cross, clearance and projection between 0 and 1000 mm, merge distance between 0 and 2000 mm, minimum sizes not negative, at least one standard size when rounding is on. With invalid values or unknown fields it does not save and says why.
It returns the path of the saved file and the saved options.
How it works
- Your AI turns your request into the fields to change (for example 30 mm clearance, round openings, no ceilings).
- BIMit starts from the saved options (or the defaults), changes those fields, checks them and writes the file
Mep_Manicotti.jsonin BIMit's folder on your PC. - The next time you open the Sleeves window, or ask to analyze or create sleeves, these options are there.
Example requests
- "Save as sleeve options a clearance of 30 mm per side and always round openings."
- "From now on don't create sleeves in ceilings and use the prefix MAN-P1-."
- "Reset the sleeve options to the defaults."
What changes and how to undo
Only the options file on your PC changes; the model is not touched. It cannot be undone with Ctrl+Z: to go back, save the previous values again, or ask to start from the defaults. The chosen models, the selection and the workset are not saved: they are given with each request.
Limits
Your AI's access level must be at least Write, because it writes a file. The options apply to your user on this PC.
