Add a note

What it does

Adds a note to the project's memory. The note has a type:

• decisione (decision): what was decided, with the reason why;
• convenzione (convention): names, codes, parameters and rules of the project;
• lezione (lesson): what did not work and why;
• da_fare (to-do): something to do; it starts open and is closed with To-dos;
• nota (note): a plain note;
• riepilogo (summary): at the end of a session, what is done and what is left.

The type can also be given with similar words, in Italian, Portuguese or English (for example "decision", "todo", "summary", "tarefa").

Every note gets a sequential id ("n1", "n2"…) and the date, and remembers where it comes from: your AI's app, the Revit session, the document and, when given, the diary entry it is about ("d12") and the archived email or document it comes from ("a12"). BIMit checks that the archive item exists in the project.

BIMit writes the diary of actions by itself: a note is for what the diary cannot know, short and clear even months later.

The project is the one given in "commessa" (id, name or alias); otherwise the one active in the conversation; otherwise the one of the active document in Revit. If there is none, the tool stops and asks for it.

How it works

1. Your AI picks the type and writes the note; if it comes from an archived email or document, or from an action in the diary, it cites it.
2. BIMit adds the note to the project's memory, in the project's files on your PC. The model is not touched and there is no confirmation window. It also works with Revit closed, when the project is given or active in the conversation.
3. Your AI reports the saved note with its id. You find it again with Resume the work (last summary, open to-dos, recent decisions, conventions and lessons) and with Search the project.

• "Note the decision: the walls of block B stay a single 30 cm type, because the quantity takeoff is already closed."
• "Add a to-do: check the basement levels with the structural engineer."
• "Before we stop, write a summary of what we did today and what is left."

What changes and how to undo

It adds one line to the project's memory, on your PC; the Revit model does not change. There is no tool to remove a note: if one is wrong, ask your AI for a note that corrects it. A to-do is closed or reopened with To-dos.

Limits

• The AI level "Read" is enough; you choose the level with the "Level" button on the BIMit tab.
• Needs a project that already exists (Project package).
• tipo and testo are required; a text longer than 4000 characters is cut.
