What it does
Saves the WBS configuration linked to the model as an Excel dictionary (.xlsx), the same as "Download dictionary..." in the "WBS" window. The dictionary is filled in with the client's codes and loaded back with Load dictionary.
The "WBS" sheet has the name, the separator and an example of the code at the top, then one block of columns for each part of the code, from left to right. Each block has its settings (parameter, digits, parent, "Read from", value if not found, whether it goes into the code) and one row per item with description, English description, code and keywords; if the part depends on another (for example category → discipline), there is also a parent code column. If the configuration has no parts yet, the sheet starts with two blocks: project and level.
How it works
- Your AI gives the path of the .xlsx file to create.
- BIMit reads the configuration linked to the model and writes the dictionary.
- You open the file in Excel, copy or type the client's codes, then ask your AI to load it.
Example requests
- "Export the WBS dictionary to C:\Projects\Hospital\WBS_dictionary.xlsx."
- "Prepare the WBS Excel sheet to send to the client."
What changes and how to undo
The .xlsx file is created at the given path. The model and the configuration do not change. To undo, just delete the file.
Limits
- A WBS configuration linked to the model is needed; without one, the tool asks to create it with Save configuration.
- If the file is open in Excel it cannot be created: close it and try again.
- The dictionary created by your AI has Italian headings; BIMit also reads it back with Portuguese or English headings.
