What it does
Does what "Open preset..." does in BIMit's "Export" window (Esporta tavole): links an existing .json preset to the model, for example the one your colleagues put in the project folder. The preset comes with everything it holds: settings, export history, saved selections and scheduled exports.
From then on the sheet list and the export of this model use that file.
How it works
- You tell your AI which file to use.
- BIMit checks that the file is a valid export preset and links it to the model.
- Your AI receives the linked path and the preset's settings.
Example requests
- "Use the export preset in the project folder for this model."
- "Link the preset
P:\Project 24-015\Esporta.json."
What changes and how to undo
Only the link between the model and the file changes, which BIMit remembers on this PC. The preset file and the Revit model do not change.
Ctrl+Z does not undo the link: to go back to the previous preset, link it again with this same tool (its path is the one Preset showed before).
Limits
AI level required: Write, which only you choose in Revit. The file must exist and be a valid export preset; otherwise the tool stops without changing anything.
