What it does
Gives your AI a compact map of the active model, useful before modeling or searching for something:
- levels, with their elevation;
- grids, with start and end points;
- rooms and spaces, with number, name, level, area in m² and center (only those with an area);
- MEP systems, with classification and element count (pipes and ducts included);
- links, and whether they are loaded;
- phases;
- worksets, only in workshared models, with owner and status;
- the model's extents (minimum and maximum);
- the model categories with their element count (the 40 largest).
Coordinates are in millimeters, from the model's internal origin. Your AI can ask for only some parts, or only the rooms and spaces of one level.
How it works
- Your AI asks for the map, whole or only some parts.
- BIMit reads the active model and builds the map, with at most 150 rooms, spaces and systems unless told otherwise.
- Your AI receives the map and uses it to find its way or to answer your questions.
Example requests
- "Give me an overview of the model: levels, grids and rooms."
- "Which rooms are on Level 1, with their areas?"
- "Which MEP systems are there and how many elements does each one have?"
What changes and how to undo
Nothing: the tool only reads. The model and files do not change.
Limits
Rooms, spaces and systems: 150 of each when not specified, at most 2000.
