What it does
Lists the model categories that contain elements, with three facts for each: the OST name (for example OST_Walls), the name as Revit shows it, and the number of elements.
The OST name does not depend on Revit's language: it is the name your AI then uses in the other tools, for example in Find elements.
How it works
- Your AI asks for the categories, optionally counting nested families too.
- BIMit counts the elements of the active model category by category.
- Your AI receives the list and knows which categories exist in the model and what to call them.
Example requests
- "Which categories are in the model and how many elements does each have?"
- "How many doors and windows are there?"
- "Count nested families too: how much furniture is there in total?"
What changes and how to undo
Nothing: the tool only reads. The model and files do not change.
