What it does
Acts on one scheduled export of the active model, given by id or by name:
- elimina (delete): removes the schedule from the export preset;
- spegni (turn off): keeps the schedule but it no longer runs;
- accendi (turn on): turns the schedule back on;
- esegui_ora (run now): exports right away, with the model's settings at this moment, and returns the result, the report and the folder. Running now does not use up a "once" schedule: it stays on for its date.
How it works
- Your AI finds the schedule (usually first with Scheduled exports) and asks for the action.
- BIMit looks up the schedule by id or name in the export preset linked to the model, applies the action and saves the preset. With "esegui_ora" it exports the schedule's sheets and views, as it would at the set time.
- You see the updated state of the schedule; with "esegui_ora", also how many files succeeded and how many failed.
Example requests
- "Turn off the Friday schedule until we close the revision."
- "Run the scheduled export 'Structural issue' now."
- "Delete the schedule 'Night before the issue', we no longer need it."
What changes and how to undo
The Revit model does not change: the export preset linked to the model does. Every change to the model can be undone with Ctrl+Z in Revit, but these actions are undone like this:
- turning off and turning on cancel each other out;
- a deleted schedule does not come back: create it again with Schedule an export;
- with "esegui_ora" the files are written to the export folder and the export goes into the history and the report; remove the files from the folder if you do not need them.
Limits
- "esegui_ora" does not start while Revit has an operation in progress: finish it and try again.
- If no format is active, the folder is missing or there is nothing new to export, the result says so and no file is created.
