What it contains
The Schedule (Pianifica) package plans recurring exports. A schedule sets when to export (a date and a time, then once only, every week on some days, or every month) and what to export (chosen sheets and views, a Revit View/Sheet Set or a saved selection). At the set time BIMit exports by itself, without opening any window, with the formats, folder and file naming rules set for the model at that moment.
Schedules are saved in the export preset linked to the model, together with the other export settings. The Revit model is not changed.
When to use it
- To have up-to-date PDFs and DWGs of all sheets every Friday evening, ready to send.
- To export, every month, only the sheets that are new or whose revision changed.
- To run a long export overnight, once, at a time when nobody needs the model.
Revit must stay open with the model: a run missed while Revit was closed runs once when the model is opened again.
The tools
- Scheduled exports: lists the model's schedules, with next and last run and result.
- Schedule an export: adds a schedule (once, weekly or monthly).
- Manage a scheduled export: deletes, turns off, turns back on or runs a schedule right away.
Good to know
These tools do not change the model but the export preset and, when the export runs, the files in the export folder.
Where it is in Revit
BIMit tab › Sheets panel › Schedule.
This package has no BIMit window of its own. The same schedules also appear in the Export window (Export package), tab 3 · Create, section Scheduling, where they can be added, turned on, turned off and deleted by hand.
