What it does
Removes from the model what your AI's tools created in the Work session in progress: it deletes the created elements that still exist. Along with them Revit also deletes the elements that depend on them, such as tags, dimensions or hosted elements.
First your AI runs a simulation: BIMit tries the deletion in Revit, counts what would go and puts the model back as it was. Only with the confirmation are the elements actually deleted.
The elements your AI changed or deleted are not restored from here: the answer lists them, and in Revit they are undone with Ctrl+Z.
How it works
- Your AI calls the tool without confirmation: BIMit simulates in Revit and says how many elements would be deleted, how many your AI created and which changed elements would not be restored.
- Your AI reports the result and, if you agree, calls the tool again with the confirmation. BIMit deletes the elements in a single Revit operation that carries BIMit's name.
- If more elements not created by your AI than your approval threshold (50 by default) would go with them, Revit shows you a window with how many elements, from which document and of which categories: it deletes only if you approve. Until then nothing is deleted, and your AI follows the request until you answer.
Example requests
- "Undo everything you created in this session."
- "What would be deleted if you undid the work? Don't delete anything yet."
- "Remove the walls and floors you made, then close the session."
What changes and how to undo
Deletes from the model the elements your AI created in the session in progress and those that depend on them. Everything happens in a single Revit operation: one Ctrl+Z in Revit brings them back. Without confirmation the model does not change.
Changes to other elements and deletions made by your AI are not restored by this tool: they are undone in Revit with Ctrl+Z, where the operations carry BIMit's name. The session stays open after the undo; if it has already been closed with "fine", there is nothing left to undo from here.
Limits
- Needs the AI level "Write" (the default), which you choose with the "Level" button on the BIMit tab.
- It works only with a work session in progress, started before the changes.
- Above the approval threshold (50 elements not created by your AI by default, dependents included) your approval in Revit is needed.
- Every change to the model can be undone with Ctrl+Z in Revit; team actions ask for confirmation in Revit.
Parameters
| Parameter | Meaning |
|---|---|
conferma | true = actually delete; without it, a simulation that says what would be deleted. |
verifica | Check after the change (elements read again, nearby clashes, Revit warnings): breve (brief, default), completa (complete, with the measured values) or no. |
