Installation Guide
Requirements
- Autodesk Revit 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025
- Windows 10 or Windows 11
- Internet connection (for authentication and AI features)
- Google account (for sign-in)
Installation Steps

Download the Installer
Visit the GitHub Releases page and download the version matching your Revit:
📥 Download from GitHub ReleasesNote: Choose the correct version:
- UNIBIM_2022.zip → Revit 2022
- UNIBIM_2023.zip → Revit 2023
- UNIBIM_2024.zip → Revit 2024
- UNIBIM_2025.zip → Revit 2025

Close Revit
Make sure Autodesk Revit is completely closed before proceeding with installation.

Run the Installer
Extract the downloaded ZIP file and run the installer executable:
- Right-click the ZIP file → Extract All
- Navigate to the extracted folder
- Run
UNIBIM_Setup.exe(or similar) - Follow the installation wizard
The plugin will be automatically installed to:%APPDATA%\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\[VERSION]\UNIBIM\

Launch Revit & Sign In
Open Autodesk Revit. You should see the UNIBIM commands in the Add-Ins ribbon tab.
On first launch:
- Click any UNIBIM command
- Sign in with your Google account
- Authorize UNIBIM to access your account
- You're ready to classify!
Verify Installation
To confirm UNIBIM is installed correctly:
- Open Revit
- Go to the Add-Ins tab in the ribbon
- Look for UNIBIM panel with these commands:
- Classify Products (Pr)
- Classify Systems (Ss)
- About UNIBIM
Troubleshooting
Plugin doesn't appear in Revit
- Verify you downloaded the correct version for your Revit
- Check Windows Event Viewer for .NET errors
- Ensure .NET Framework 4.8 is installed
- Try running Revit as Administrator
Can't sign in with Google
- Check your internet connection
- Disable VPN or proxy temporarily
- Make sure your firewall allows UNIBIM
- Try a different browser for OAuth
